Abstract
► A liquid drop deposited on a cosine wave-like pattern surface is simulated. ► The three-phase contact line is non-circular and corrugated. ► Contact angle varies along with contact line. ► Advancing/receding contact angles depend upon viewing angle and drop volume. ► Magnitude of variation of the contact angles decreases with increasing drop volume.
