Abstract
⺠Continuous Ni shells were deposited on monodispersed polymer microspheres. ⺠The polymer surface was activated by depositing small Pd clusters. ⺠The density of Pd clusters was maximized by treating the polymer with aliphatic polyamines. ⺠The continuity and smoothness of Ni shell improved when lengthening the amine chain.
