Abstract
► QCM-D was used to study the adsorption of DNA on surfaces. ► Using binary SAM, surfaces posses various zeta-potentials. ► DNA can be adsorbed via electrostatic interaction. ► Negatively charged surfaces can still adsorb negatively charged DNA. ► Debye interaction may explain the adsorption of DNA to negatively charged surfaces.
