Abstract
⺠We have shown SE can be successfully functionalised by DBD treatment. ⺠Successful plasma induced graft polymerisation PEGMA macromonomers was achieved. ⺠Mammalian cell adhesion was decreased on these surfaces. ⺠Bacterial cell adhesion was not decreased on these surfaces. ⺠The mechanism of mammalian cell resistance does not correlate to bacterial cell resistance.
