Abstract
⺠A novel theoretical model to estimate shell-thickness in core-shell quantum dots. ⺠Superposition of Quantum Confinement Energy (SQCE) between core and shell. ⺠Model here applied and validated for CdSe-CdS and CdSe-ZnS systems. ⺠Estimates from SQCE model are experimentally validated with TEM and SAXS. ⺠Model applicable to other type-I core-shell quantum dots also.
