Abstract
⺠AgIO3 modified AgI/TiO2 (AIT) was synthesized by a facile method. ⺠AIT calcined at 200 °C (AIT200) consisted of AgIO3, AgI, and TiO2 semiconductors. ⺠The AgIO3 in the AIT served as a sink for the photogenerated electrons. ⺠The high catalytic activity was maintained after five successive cyclic experiments. ⺠4-CP was oxidized by the valence band holes on the surface of the catalysts.
