Abstract
⺠AgPd alloy platelets were obtained by reducing the metal nitrates with ascorbic acid. ⺠The anisotropic growth is triggered by the structural defects in the AgPd lattice. ⺠The particle size and aspect ratio vary with the AgPd ratio and solution acidity.
