Abstract
⺠LBL assembly of charged derivative of chitosan was constructed. ⺠All multilayer films are relatively rigid and have high water content associated. ⺠Cytocompatibility of multilayer films depends upon the outermost layer. ⺠The HTACC/PAA showed moderate antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. ⺠Strong anticoagulant activity was observed on the multilayer films terminating with SFC.
