Abstract
⺠Symmetric colloidal dipole particles were fabricated for electrorheological applications. ⺠Shape anisotropy of conducting particles is critical for enhancing electrorheology effects. ⺠Shape anisotropy of suspending particles increases the dipole moment under the electric field. ⺠Colloidal dipoles form a well-structured colloidal gel network under electrical fields.
