Abstract
⺠High temperature electrophoresis data are summarized for a variety of metal oxides. ⺠Surface protonation enthalpies were extracted via two alternative models. ⺠Two groups of oxides are identified based on their protonation enthalpy behavior. ⺠Relative permittivity, Me-OH bond length are found to affect protonation enthalpy.
