Abstract
⺠ATR-IR and 29Si NMR spectra of H4SiO4 on the amorphous TiO2 surface are reported. ⺠Sorption and oligomerization on TiO2 were similar to that on an amorphous iron oxide. ⺠Linear silicate oligomers are formed on disordered oxide surfaces. ⺠This result is interpreted using a structural model for the amorphous TiO2.
