Abstract
⺠Shear flow can cause coalescence in oil-in-water Pickering emulsions which are stable when at rest. ⺠Susceptibility to orthokinetic coalescence is linked to salt concentration. ⺠Shearing breaks down drop-particle network and weakly aggregated particles are easily displaced as drops collide together.
