Abstract
⺠A facile method for preparing asymmetric hollow silica spheres was developed. ⺠The morpholology of asymmetric hollow silica spheres can be precisely controlled via changing the ratio of ethanol to water. ⺠The formation mechanism of asymmetric hollow silica spheres was described.
