Abstract
⺠The effect of SDS on the diffusion-controlled evaporation rate was investigated. ⺠SDS did not alter water evaporation rate, only evaporation mode was changed. ⺠The constant contact angle mode was operative up to 80 mM SDS concentration. ⺠Lucassen-Reynders approach was applied to determine SDS adsorption on solid surface. ⺠An equation was developed to compare evaporation rates of drops with different θi.
