Abstract
⺠A practical method to prepare stable colloidal silver nanoparticles is presented. ⺠A dispersant and two reducing agents including 2-(dimethylamino) ethanol are used. ⺠The protective mechanism of polyvinylpyrrolidone and effect of amines are studied. ⺠Stable, pure nano-sized colloidal silver nanoparticles can be obtained easily. ⺠This method has many advantages, making it practically useful in various fields.
