Abstract
⺠Silica face-alumina face interactions are dominant for kaolinite particle aggregation at low pH. ⺠Face-face and edge-face interactions explain the maximum shear yield stress for kaolinite at pH 5-5.5. ⺠Cryo-SEM of kaolinite aggregates confirms the face-face association.
