Abstract
⺠Air oxidation of 1-octanol to 1-octanal was studied in a fixed bed catalytic reactor in vapour phase at atmospheric pressure. ⺠Cryptomelane octahedral molecular sieve-2 was modified with different Ag loading (5-15%, w/w) to get nano fibrous materials. ⺠All catalysts were fully characterized. ⺠10% Ag-OMS-2 was the most selective catalyst. ⺠It was necessary to use toluene as a diluant to increase the selectivity.
