► Increasing svelteness reduces the effect of bifurcation angle on the pressure drop. ► Flow distribution and thermal uniformities are achieved at low Reynolds numbers. ► Increasing svelteness causes more uniform thermal and hydro-dynamical distributions. ► Reynolds number is an important factor which affects the uniformity.
