Abstract
⺠Performance of major components in a water-loop heat pump system is analyzed in terms of power consumption vs. loop water temperature. ⺠It is proved that there exists a unique loop water temperature minimizing the total energy consumption. ⺠A minimum-searching strategy is adopted to find the optimal loop water temperature, and simulations show the strategy outperforms the conventional practice in cooling mode.
