Abstract
⺠We present a physical analysis of particular underhood aerothermal behaviors. ⺠In this analysis, convective heat flux absorption should be noted. ⺠A new optimization procedure based on this physical analysis is proposed. ⺠It entails airflow redistribution in the underhood through deflectors. ⺠The new procedures are simple and easy to implement in the car underhood.
