Abstract
Redox polymer/gold nanoparticles multilayer films were constructed on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) by layer-by-layer (LBL) method. UV-vis spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical method were used to characterize the assembled multilayer films, which showed high electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of ascorbic acid. Compared with the bare GCE, the oxidation peak potential negatively shifted about 210Â mV. The results of cyclic voltammograms showed the peak currents had a good linearly relationship with the concentration of ascorbic acid in the range of 0.1-4.5Â mM at a scan rate of 50Â mVÂ sâ1.
