Abstract
SnO2 nanoribbons were synthesized by direct oxidization of tin powders at 810 °C. Then highly sensitive and selective CuO modified SnO2 sensors to H2S based on SnO2 nanoribbons were fabricated successfully. The sensitivity of CuO modified SnO2 nanoribbons sensor is as high as 18,000 and the response time is 15 s at room temperature though the content of H2S is just 3 ppm. CuO-SnO2 nanoribbons sensor shows switch-like response to H2S gas, which is helpful for the design of new kind of nanodevices.
