Detection of multiple analytes (CN− and F−) based on a simple pyrazine-derived chemosensor in aqueous solution: Experimental and theoretical approaches

- A new pyrazine-derived sensor 1 was developed as a colorimetric sensor for F− and CN−.
- 1 detected F− and CN− by different signaling mechanisms, deprotonation and nucleophilic addition.
