Abstract
A reliable non-enzymatic H2O2 sensor was explored due to the immobilization of Cyt.c protein over a commercial Ni foam electrode. The sensor design shows enhanced electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of H2O2 in terms of sensitivity, selectivity and wide linear range. In addition, this modified electrode allows the detection of H2O2 over the low micro-to-molar range with the limit of detection (LOD) of 0.2 μM.
