Abstract
⺠A new method and device for measuring a set of 72 poses is proposed. ⺠The device consists of a telescoping ballbar and 2 fixtures, each with 3 magnetic cups. ⺠The problem that was solved is that today's ballbars have very limited measurement range. ⺠The novel idea is to imagine a virtual hexapod that can be assembled in 72 configurations. ⺠Six distances (“the hexapod legs”) are measured with the telescoping ballbar in each pose.
