Abstract
⺠Subjects' preferences for distributive fairness are categorized using dictator games. ⺠Nearly three-quarters of participants exhibit concern for distributive fairness. ⺠Ultimatum and trust games provide evidence on reciprocal fairness. ⺠Differing prosocial preference types act predictably different in reciprocal games. ⺠All preference types reveal strong concern for reciprocal fairness.
