Abstract
⺠Anxiously attached individuals may substitute material possessions for social relationships. ⺠Anxious attachment is correlated with greater materialism. ⺠Loneliness mediates the relationship between anxious attachment and greater materialism. ⺠Materialism mediates the relationship between anxious attachment and loneliness. ⺠Anxious attachment may play a role in hoarding behavior.
