Abstract
⺠Measured life satisfaction (LS), Big 5 traits, gratitude, and appreciation (N = 243). ⺠Appreciation explains variance in LS above demographics, Big 5, and gratitude. ⺠Gratitude contributes to LS above demographics & Big 5, but not above appreciation. ⺠Appreciation uniquely explains 11% of the variance in LS, p < .001. ⺠Appreciation is more than just gratitude or the Big 5 personality traits.
