Abstract
⺠A new bidimensional model of belief in luck and luckiness is proposed. ⺠A series of studies (total n = 1202) test and confirm new model. ⺠Belief in luck revealed as unidimensional construct relating to irrationality and maladaptivity. ⺠Luckiness revealed as unidimensional construct related to wellbeing. ⺠Parsimonious, internationally applicable Belief in Luck and Luckiness Scale validated.
