Abstract
⺠Hybrid power supply systems to provide the power to an RO desalination plant are investigated. ⺠The lowest water cost was for RO unit powered either by a diesel generator or by a combination of diesel, wind, and solar power. ⺠A significant reduction in the fuel burned occurred with the introduction of the renewable energy sources.
