Abstract
⺠Many instruments measure skills related to socio-emotional effectiveness. ⺠What are the basic dimensions underlying these instruments? ⺠We ran a principal component analysis on 32 scales from 8 questionnaires and tests. ⺠Four components emerged: Expressivity, Sensitivity, Self-Control, Emotional Abilities. ⺠Some instruments overlapped although their labels suggest distinct constructs.
