Abstract
⺠The energy autonomy of very small remote islands is investigated in the present work. ⺠An energy system consisting of renewables and a desalination unit is proposed. ⺠The proposed system exploits the local biomass, wind and solar potential. ⺠Based on the results, the techno-economic feasibility of the proposed system emerges.
