Abstract
⺠We model the impact of authority on consensus formation in adaptive social networks. ⺠Authority alters the time to reach consensus, and the number of opinion clusters. ⺠The post-consensus network is statistically similar regardless of initial topology. ⺠This final topology is statistically robust to random or targeted node removal.
