Abstract
⺠Ascertains the impact of state policies on increasing the renewable capacity. ⺠Renewable portfolio requirements have an (sometimes unexpected) impact. ⺠Clean energy funds and required green power options have a positive impact. ⺠Voluntary renewable standards as well as state green power purchasing requirements are ineffective. ⺠Economics as well as political and structural variables are ineffective.
