Abstract
⺠The likelihood of a significant cellulosic ethanol industry in the US looks dim. ⺠Drop-in biofuels made from cellulosic feedstocks have a more promising future. ⺠The spatial dimension of markets for cellulosic feedstocks will be limited. ⺠Corn ethanol will be a tough competitor for cellulosic ethanol.
