Abstract
âºWe examine state-scale impacts of a renewable electricity standard and a carbon tax. âºGeorgia has low electricity prices and bioenergy is the main renewable option. âºA carbon tax of $50/tCO2 does not significantly increase renewable generation. âºRenewable electricity credits divert renewable investment to other states. âºKeeping renewable electricity generation in-state increases electricity costs by 1%.
