Abstract
âºNations are willing to pay substantial sums to avert perceived existential threats. âºPrimary energy supplies from renewable sources could meet global energy needs. âºThe investment required to de-carbonize the global energy system is economically feasible. âºThis effort would be comparable as a percent of GDP to US aid to Europe after World War II. âºIt would also be comparable in magnitude to current international payments for oil and natural gas.
