Abstract
⺠A radical reconsideration of the link between oil and international conflict is needed. ⺠Resource-backed aggression, not resource-competition, is the major source of conflict. ⺠Petro-revolutionary states instigate 250% more military conflicts than typical states. ⺠Petro-revolutionary states are also more frequently targeted for economic sanctions.
