Abstract
⺠Power generation sector restructuring is proposed in 2009 by the Romanian government. ⺠We assess the objectives, methodology and proposed outcome of the restructuring. ⺠Proposed restructuring is controversial and would create “national champions”. ⺠Restructuring should be suspended and replaced by an improved restructuring approach.
