Abstract
⺠Firms use international joint ventures (IJV) to access and learn partners' knowledge. ⺠Knowledge complementarity in IJVs improves new product performance. ⺠Knowledge absorption effectiveness fully mediates knowledge complementarity's effect. ⺠Organizational departmentalization negatively moderates these effects. ⺠Organizational learning culture positively moderates these effects.
