Abstract
⺠The unfolding of a relationship context influences how actors adopt and adapt communication practices. ⺠Actors use different communication media to achieve different tasks, at different times throughout the relationship. ⺠Actors deliberately break communication norms in order reshape the relationships. ⺠Communication artifacts are interpreted and reinterpreted across the different forms of time and space. ⺠Different temporal forms are privileged to inform actors' communication practices as actors make task-media fit judgments.
