Abstract
Structural, magnetic and electron paramagnetic resonance studies were performed to characterize a new compound showing polymeric spin chains of Cu(II) ions bridged by monomeric chlorine bridges with formula C6H14Cl2CuN2O2·(H2O)0.5. The magnetic properties and EPR spectra indicate a weak antiferromagnetic interaction 2J â¼Â â0.30 K coupling neighbor copper ions, transmitted through the chlorine bridges.
