Abstract
Two novel complexes Co(BttMe)2 (1) and Ni(BttMe)2 (2) were synthesized by reaction of the dihydrobis(1-methyl-5-thiotetrazolyl)borato ligand (BttMe) with anhydrous CoCl2 and NiCl2 · 6H2O, respectively. 1 features a central [CoS4 ] core with a very weak apical Coâ¯H-B interaction, whereas 2 features a central [NiS4H2] core and exhibits relatively strong Niâ¯H-B interactions.
