Abstract
⺠Di-nuclear (μ2-acetate)bis(μ2-phenoxide)di-copper(II) complex has been synthesized. ⺠The single crystal X-ray structure of the di-nuclear complex was determined. ⺠Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement indicates strong antiferromagnetic coupling between the copper(II) centres. ⺠The Cu-Cu distance (2.911 Ã
) is very close to the distance observed in di-nuclear copper(II) acetate. ⺠The average Cu-O-Cu angles (â¼87°) are found to be the lowest amongst the examples reported so far.
