Abstract
⺠Macrobicyclic dicopper(II) complexes with heterocyclic bases were synthesized. ⺠All the complexes display significant catalytic activity on phosphate hydrolysis. ⺠All the dicopper(II) complexes are avid DNA binders. ⺠Phenanthroline based CuII complexes show better DNA hydrolysis than bipyridyl analogs.
