Abstract
Reactions between di-2-pyridyl ketonoxime and MnCl2·4H2O in presence of di- (H2ed and H2pd) or poly-alcohol ligands (H4per), produce trinuclear complexes 1-3 with a common mixed-valent MnII-MnIV-MnII linear motif in which spin-carriers are ferromagnetically coupled leading to an ST = 13/2 spin ground state.
