Abstract
The study of the hypervalence in some dithiastannecine compounds [{D(C6H4CH2S)2}SnRRâ²] containing a 10-membered chelate ring is reported. The presence of a Dâ¯Sn interaction has been demonstrated by X-ray diffraction single-crystal and DFT studies; this interaction has a significant structural effect on the local geometry at the tin atom, giving different coordination polyhedra.
