Abstract
The ansa-aluminocene compound [Me4C2(C5H4)2Al-μ-Cl]2 and its Lewis base adducts [Me4C2(η5-C5H4)2Al(L)] (L = THF, t-BuNC) were prepared and their X-ray crystal structures were determined. The solution structures and fluxional rearrangement of these compounds were characterized using a combination of 1-D and 2-D NMR spectroscopic methods.
