Abstract
New tri-organotin(IV) derivatives containing the anionic bis(2-pyridylthio)acetate have been synthesized from reaction between SnR3Cl acceptors and the Na[(pyS)2CHCO2] ligand. Crystallisation of the compound {[(pyS)2CHCO2]Sn(CH3)3}n yielded the complex {[(pyS)2CHCO2]Sn(CH3)3}n·CHCl3, which has been characterized by X-ray crystallography.
