Abstract
Synthesis and characterization of a thiazoline and hydrazone derivative ligand and its Cd(II) complex. The cadmium complex was obtained through the reaction of 2-acetyl-2-thiazoline hydrazone (ATH) with Cd(NO3)2 · 4H2O. The complex and the ligand were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and spectroscopic measurements. The complex presents a distorted octahedral geometry around the cadmium(II) ion.
